As can be found from Table 4.1, the main way for students to accumulate composition material is to read extracurricular books, followed by material harvested in school study, and again to look up excerpted material on the Internet, while the accumulation of material in daily life accounts for only 14.4%. In terms of the accumulation of living materials, the survey found that 9 percent of students would record their daily lives in writing every day, 54 percent would selectively record daily life, and 37 percent never recorded them. Second, 11 percent of students were able to keep regular observational diaries, 46 percent occasionally and 43 percent never. It can be seen that students usually record the autonomy of life materials is low. By investigating the use of life materials in student composition, the author found that 20.3% of students were able to use living materials regularly in composition, 36.8% of students were sometimes able to use living materials in composition, and 42.9% of students rarely or even mentioned their own personal experiences or experiences, which showed that life materials were used poorly in students' compositions.
