The whole heartbeat process can be divided into three parts:

Presystole (GH): The heartbeat process during this period consists of a sudden deceleration of blood flow back to the heart, atrial filling and contraction-related forces. The H wave depicts the deceleration of the head;

systolic period (IJK): When the blood accelerates upward into the ascending aorta, the I wave corresponds to the body’s recoil force toward the foot, which is the first at the beginning of the ejection (early contraction) A minimum wave. After the ventricles are depolarized, when the blood accelerates in the abdomen and the ascending aorta decelerates, the J wave corresponds to the recoil of the body. Peak J depicts the end of the rapid ejection of the two ventricles. K wave and L wave are the reflection of blood flow deceleration, stop and aortic valve closure;

Diastole (LMN): Diastolic waves (KL and MN) are caused by the peripheral circulation of blood.
