Forest ecological function refers to the beneficial effect of forest group effect on environmental factors and structure due to the existence of forest. It includes water-proof and sand fixation, water and soil conservation, water conservation, climate regulation, recreational environment and other forms of ecological services.<br>The service function of forest ecosystem refers to the natural environment condition and utility that human beings depend on for existence formed and maintained by ecosystem and ecological process.<br>Forest ecological benefit refers to the sum of the ecological effectiveness of forest resources and the effectiveness of social use of forest ecological functions. Including forest water conservation, soil and water conservation, wind and sand fixation, carbon fixation and oxygen retention, air purification, noise elimination, water and drought mitigation, wildlife protection and tourism benefits.<br>The three concepts are similar, which are closely related to the ecological functions and benefits of forests. However, through the definition of the three concepts, we can see that the difference between forest ecological function, forest ecological service function and forest ecological benefit lies in that the latter two include the value and utility of forest ecosystem to human living environment and human society in different degrees. The concept of forest ecological function is relatively simple, which is only the utility of forest ecosystem itself, including the water cycle, carbon cycle, nutrient cycle, energy cycle, biological cycle and other processes of forest ecosystem, which involves more extensive and objective contents.<br>
