In this paper, the geometric shape detection of 3D point cloud is taken as the research background, and the spherical surface detection problem in 3D point cloud is taken as the focus. The spherical surface detection method based on the random sampling consistency algorithm is improved, so that the calculation amount is reduced and the influence of the independent points, i.e. external points, is reduced, the speed and accuracy of spherical surface detection is improved, and the anti-interference ability of spherical surface detection is improved The force is increased.
