Mencius distinguishes four kinds of human virtues. Besides benevolence or benevolence, he also conceives three other virtues, which can be roughly translated into "social correctness" or "justice", "Politeness" and "wisdom". He believes that all these virtues should not be or can not be imposed on people from the outside through social influence and pressure, on the contrary, they are spontaneous emotional tendencies in people's hearts.
