First of all, "science" refers to the existence of objective laws in social operation. Economics is about studying the behavior of conscious people and understanding the real reasons behind economic phenomena. The definition of "economics" in textbooks is to study the decision-making problems faced by decision makers who apply microeconomics to the private and public sectors. But I don't think economics is a science for a reason: science, such as natural science, can make causal judgments based on experiments and observations, and under certain conditions it is justified, but economics can't do that, the impact between economic phenomena and related variables is complex, assuming that the model can't incorporate all the factors involved, and it's difficult to be random in experiments, and causal inferences need to be careful to exclude factors, otherwise the conclusion may be completely wrong. This is my personal understanding, thank you!
