In this paper, the diversification of functions in dining space is taken as the research object, the functional characteristics of dining space are studied, and the existing problems of dining are solved through the design and utilization of functional space. Nowadays, the catering industry is developing to the high-end dining environment in order to improve the business level and attract passengers, but the function of dining space is relatively lacking. While meeting the psychological needs of the dining environment, it can solve the problems of long waiting time for dining, nowhere for public personnel to eat, weak spread of cultural themes and so on, so that the dining space can have more use value.
