From the perspective of Malaysia, this paper deals with Philippine language. It aims to demonstrate the position of Philippine language in Malaysia's linguistic space. Filipinos are often called Tagalog by Malaysia and share the same language with Malay among the sisters of the South Island language family. Philippine language appears in Malaysia's mass media and academia. This paper further discusses the Philippine teaching in Malaysia. This also raises questions, problems and challenges of teaching language among Malaysian students, especially the major university in Malaysia, the University of Malaya.<br>
